There is no such thing as a naked portrait

Germaine Greer explains why women artists started taking their clothes off for their art.Martin Hammer of the National Galleries of Scotland has written a book called The Naked Portrait to go with "the first exhibition to focus on naked portraiture as a strand in the art of the last century", which opened in Edinburgh and has just transferred to Compton Verney in Warwickshire.
